International Missions
Prof McGregor has now operated in ten different countries, primarily in his capacity as a volunteer with a charity called ” Hernia International” and the Mercy Ships.
Not everyone has the capacity to have their hernia fixed and subsequently just in Africa every year over 100,000 people die from bowel dying because it is stuck in their hernia.
Hernia International and Mercy Ships have surgeons from all over the world that volunteer their time to travel to poor and disadvantaged areas of the world and teach local doctors how to perform safe surgery.
